Calendario coreano de la Era Tangun
Según una leyenda coreana, el rey-dios Tangun fundó la nación coreana en el año 2,333 A.C. La Corea temprana usaba un calendario lunar. Conforme el resto del mundo fue influenciando a Corea, eventualmente ésta adoptó el calendario solar Gregoriano. Aún así gran parte del país sigue utilizando el calendario lunar para mantener registro de nacimientos y fallecimientos, y de algunas fiestas tradicionales.
