Warcraft

Warcraft is franchise of video games, books and other media created by Blizzard Entertainment. The WarCraft firstly appeared in 1994 as a real-time strategy - WarCraft: Orcs and Humans. Success motivated Blizzard to create sequels - WarCraft II (1995) and WarCraft III (2002). Each new part of the game was very succesful and rated very high. In 2004 Blizzard released World of WarCraft, which was a MMO, oppositely to previous real-time strategy games. World of WarCraft is a very succesful game, its development continues till today resulting in three expansions and upcoming fourth. Each game brang something new and original to the game industry. WarCraft II: Battle.net Edition was one of the first RTS games playable through the internet. World of WarCraft was one of the first so succesful MMOs and many of new MMO games are based on mechanics created by Blizzard.

Warcraft has books, card and board games, comics and even magazine based on it. These were created due to popularity of WarCraf video games series.

Warcraft is high fantasy game. The story takes place in worlds called Azeroth and Draenor. Most of beings are fantastic, including elves, orcs or alien-like draenei. World was created basing on myths, legends and lores taken from real world.
